“It is my belief that everyone has faced their own demons at some point. For some, it's a traumatic event of the past, for others it could be the loss of a loved one,a failed marriage, or bouts of depression and anxiety. While we share our happiest moments on social media painting a picture of ease and bliss, we've all been through the ringer at some point.
My hope is that by sharing my story, I may inspire people who are suffering to take a step towards healing. To unburden themselves by talking with a professional or loved one, and realize they are not alone.
Dozens of celebrities and athletes have come forward in the last several years disclosing their struggles with mental health. But it seems to stop there, as the rest of us "normal" people can't afford to be labeled for fear of being humiliated and exiled without a hammock to fall back on. I hope to change that, one story at a time.
If you, like me, have felt the pangs of depression or the swings of high highs and low lows in a world that makes you feel like you need to power through, Euphoric Misery is for you.
There is life between euphoria and misery, and my hope is you’ll find that space in the pages of my book."
